RALLY TO STOP SB 79
Protect Your Neighborhood from State-Forced High-Rises

Join us to stand against developer giveaways, fake transit, and top-down mandates from Sacramento.

Over 500 Neighbors. One Clear Message: NO on SB 79.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend in opposition to SB 79 and the Turquoise Tower project. The turnout was incredible — more than 500 neighbors came together to say enough is enough.

With homemade signs, passionate speakers, and a united voice, we made it clear that our community won’t stand by while Sacramento pushes one-size-fits-all zoning and dangerous density mandates into our neighborhoods.

Protesters holding signs gather on the street in front of a building with a mural advertising French Gourmet restaurant and Sharpe Fitness gym. Protest signs include messages like "Stop the 23 story Tower" and "Sacramento Butt Out No On."

SB 79 allows developers to ignore local zoning laws and build dense luxury towers based on imaginary, unfunded “future” transit. It erases community input and strains our infrastructure — and it’s already being used to push a 23-story tower on Turquoise Street.

This rally is your chance to say:
🛑 NO to phantom transit
🛑 NO to Sacramento overreach
🛑 NO to unaffordable mega towers in our neighborhoods

What Is SB 79? And Why Should You Be Outraged?

THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT ONE TOWER.

IT’S ABOUT TAKING BACK OUR COMMUNITIES.

✅ No phantom transit-based density bonuses
✅ Restore local decision-making
✅ Require real affordability
✅ Respect voter-approved height limits
